Running Your First Website Scan

Before you begin

• Add the website under Domains.
• Select that website in the domain switcher.
• For Standard or Deep depth, complete TXT verification on the domain page. Quick scans can run while unverified.

Steps

1. Open Scanner.
2. Confirm the target URL for the selected domain.
3. Choose a depth: Quick, Standard (default), or Deep.
4. Start the scan. If a scan is already queued or running for the site, your request joins that job instead of opening a second browser session.
5. Wait for status to move to Completed, Partially completed, or Failed.

Depths in brief

• Quick — observes before a consent choice only.
• Standard — also exercises reject, accept, and withdraw scenarios when controls can be found.
• Deep — Standard behavior on the first page, plus up to two additional same-site pages before consent.

Expected results

A finished scan stores observations on the scan record and updates Cookies / Vendors views. Browser consent scenarios appear in Consent Verification when that engine completed.
