Understanding Auto-Block Behavior

What the script can hold before and after configuration loads.

Last updated 2026-10-31

With auto-block enabled, the script can hold certain third-party script, frame, and image addresses until configuration loads and categories are allowed.

Not blocked

  • Your own hostname and built-in essential hosts.
  • Hosts with no domain rule.
  • Scripts that already ran before the hold applied.
  • Request types outside the block path (for example some fetch / sendBeacon traffic).

A failed configuration load can release the hold. Auto-block reduces risk; it does not guarantee every technology waits for consent.
